Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of factory technical compliance, including food safety, quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
Ensure effective HACCP plans, risk assessments, validation, verification, and quality management systems are maintained.
Lead all customer, regulatory, and third-party audits maintaining excellent audit outcomes.
Maintain and continuously improve the Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with Group Quality Management Systems and customer requirements.
Oversee factory quality processes, raw material standards, finished product quality, and quality master classes
Manage the internal audit programme, ensuring audits are completed to schedule and corrective actions are closed effectively.
Implement and maintain effective hygiene and cleaning programmes.
Support new product development and projects.
Build strong collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, industry contacts, and internal stakeholders.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Degree in Food Science, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience, HACCP Level 4 qualification, Level 3 Food Safety for Manufacturing, Internal Auditing qualification and experience conducting third-party audits, strong knowledge of food microbiology.
Skills & Experience
Proven sustained experience leading and managing technical or quality teams within a food manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience managing and improving food safety compliance and quality management systems.
Thorough understanding of BRCGS standards, retailer standards, and food industry regulations.
Strong specification management and SOP writing experience.
Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and produce meaningful management reports.
Customer-focused and commercially aware.
Strong leadership capability with the ability to engage and inspire teams.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
